Parks of Abruzzo
Abruzzo can be considered the most "Green" in Europe. No other European region concentrates, in fact, in its boundaries a similar variety of habitats: from sea to mountain, from the lake to the river.
In Italy 30% of the territory is subject to environmental protection, with three national parks, a regional park and 38 between oasis and reserves.
The parks are extended in the mountain area and offer a great variety of landscapes and environments in which they live protected species of rare, Marsican as the bear, the wolf dell'Appennino, the chamois of Abruzzo el'aquila real.
Abruzzo plays a valuable role for the conservation of nature, in a central area of Italy, easily accessible and usable, thanks to the guards of the park, the park rangers and mountain guides, visitors who want to make the excursions, on foot, horseback, skis, mountain bikes, following trails of varying difficulty and routes suitable for disabled people.
