Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo
The Parco Nazionale d 'Abruzzo is the oldest park of Abruzzo, established in 1923, extends for more than 40 000 hectares, over a large area of protection, mostly on the territory of Abruzzo, but also areas of the Lazio and Molise.
In the territory of the park are the mountains in height above 2 000 meters, such as Monte Marsicano, Mount and Mount Petroso Greek. The park is crossed by the River Sangro and its territory is located on Lake Scanno and the reservoir of Barrea.
